So how do real owners rate these headphones?

68% of users gave these headphones either 4 or 5 stars and there are quite a number of user reviews.

When choosing which attributes they particularly like, users favored comfort and ease of use with sound quality not far behind. Many users compared them very favorably with some of the markets more expensive models. Though not all users were happy and some complained of a low frequency rumble.

Generally though users considered them great value for money and very effective when used on planes. Many weighed up the cost/benefit of more expensives models such as Bose and considered these a compromise worth making.

So, what do we think ?

The Sony MDR-NC60 are a great all-rounder where budget is a consideration. Whilst never hitting the peaks of audiophile quality they nevertheless hold their own in sound quality. It would probably be their noise cancellation that would swing it for you if you were looking for tranquility but weren’t prepared to pay top market prices for the leading models.
